What is Life Coaching?

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."

Coaching works by combining inner work with outward action. Inner work involves identifying and updating the core beliefs and habits currently creating your life experiences. The outer work involves identifying goals, and creating processes and systems that support you in meeting them. Along the way, I offer you researched-based tools from the science of positive psychology to enhance your journey.

Coaching is:

  • An equal partnership between coach and client.  As your coach, I believe wholly in your resourcefulness and view you as the creator of your own life.
  • Present and future-focused, with the intention of moving you through limiting beliefs and blocks and forward towards your fullest potential.
  • A safe and non-judgemental place to explore vision, values, goals and dreams -- pathways to becoming the best personal and professional version of YOU.
  • Facilitated via phone or video conference ( ).

What coaching is not...

  • Advice-giving.  I do not tell my clients what to do or how to handle a situation or problem.
  • Consulting
  • Mentoring
  • Therapy*
